  • The place has got very warm and cosy feel about it.  There are plenty of paintings that are inspired by Chinese & Japanese customs.
  • A beautiful painting of lady wearing the traditional Kimono can be seen that looks quite amazing.
  • There is a special bar counter to the top left most corner where most of the cocktails and mocktails are made.
  • The place can accommodate around 50-60 guests when it’s completely full.

Food at OKI

There restaurant serves variety of dishes from multiple regions.  Let me share info regarding some of the dishes.

Starters

Sushis (Beetroot Feta Cheese with Ginger)
I loved the Sushis as the combination of Feta Cheese with Beetroot worked wonders.

Burmese Tea Leaf Salad
This dish had fresh vegetables and little dressing that made it look so tempting.

Peach Berry Sauce Crostini
A nicely plated dish that had small pieces of peach, feta cheese and berry on top of crisp garlic bread.  The combination of toppings made the overall dish taste very good.

Main Course

Chiang Mai Khao Soi with flat rice noodles
The dish originally from Burma that has been adapted by Thai cuisine.  Sauces might make one of it as being Thai curry, but it isn’t.  The dish has distinctive Coconut flavour and unique set of herbs & spices (cardamom & turmeric).  Taste of the dish was very good and perfect main-course dish.

Dan Dan Noodles
Chef also made us some special noodle that’s popular Sichuan street foods.  Its served in the savoury that’s topped with spicy broth and peanut flakes.

Desserts

Peach Cinnamon Apple Crepe with orange butter sauce
The presentation of the dessert was amazing, and combination as described in the name works wonders. Every bit of the dessert tasted good and its hard to share it others.

Drinks

In OKI, one can also get some has amazing set of drinks that goes along very well with the dishes.

Chilli Mango Margarita, Coconut Orange Lemongrass Maritini
Its loved the ‘Chilli Mango Margarita’ which I thought was perfect during the Mango season.

Overall Experience

Kudos to Chef and his team for serving some tasty dishes and maintaining the consistency. Some of my favourite dishes at OKI include Beetroot Feta Sushi, Chiang Mai Khao soi and Peach Cinnamon Apple Crepe.  The presentation of every dish is top notch and on par with any fine-dine restaurant.  The place is warm and cosy, perfectly suited for a quite meal with family or catching up with friends.  I personally recommend the place to everyone.
