Aloft CBN Bengaluru|Annual Cake Mixing
A special cake mixing event at a hotel that’s located in the heart of IT Park. This Software Park is unlike others as it houses the office of the biggest Networking company i.e., Cisco. ALOFT Hotel at Cessna Business Park is popular hosts multiple Business/Client meetings, Team lunches & Team building workshops. The hotel also hosts multiple Corporate pieces of training that are inhouse and external. To make it a little attractive, they also a pool on the 2nd level that overlooks the techie’s campus. The beautiful atmosphere is attractive both during the daytime and in the evening. I was recently invited to be part of their Annual Cake Mixing event by the poolside. This for sure was very special and I thought I shoulda few words in my article.
Highlights
The event has become one of the most popular activities that most of the Hotels across the globe. Every place has something unique that makes it different from the other.
ALOFT had a complete setup done for Cake Mixing – traditional mixing of dry-fruit with alcohol and for grape stomping. To make a little more special, they brought an emcee to preside over the activities planned for the evening.
Grape Stomping
This is an activity that usually done by the farmer to celebrate their harvest of grapes. But popularly the hotels have started to use this as a fun activity. In this case, they made it even special as they had 2 wooden containers for grape stomping.
Cake Mixing
The cake mixing was set up at another end of the poolside, and it was fun with friends like always. We enjoyed pouring the alcohol into the dry-fruit mix of Almond, Apricot, Cashew-nuts, Cinnamon, Dried ginger, Plums & more. While we enjoyed mixing all the ingredients, the sunset from one side that made the atmosphere so beautiful. I’m sure everyone parts of the event enjoyed the evening, a little more than usual.
Food & Beverages
To make the evening special, we were all treated for some amazing Red Wines by Big Banyan Wines brand. There was also some nice Champagne by Moët & Chandon that was served through the evening.
Along with some drinks, there were some nice snacks and desserts that helped the hungry tummy. There some amazing varieties of grilled mushroom, paneer, chicken along with Dimsums & Biryani. To make the meal more complete we also had some great variety of desserts that were well presented & tasted good.
Final Thoughts
Thanks to Sushma (Manager) of Hotel, Rahul George (Sales & Marketing) & Marissa D’Rozario (F&B Mgr) for being wonderful hosts. The setup for the Cake Mixing was done very well by the poolside. I loved the time-chosen to do the event that allowed people to enjoy every evening. Hoping to try the amazing Christmas cake that will come out of this mixture.
