India Luxury Style Week Finale at Movenpick Hotels & Spa – Bangalore

This was the finale of the India Luxury Style Week that was being hosed at #Movenpick Hotels & Spa, Yeshwantpur and it featured none other than the Bollywood Khiladi himself, #AkshayKumar. 

 

Isnt the best way to end the 5-day long event which only featured designer show-casing male outfits at large.  I attended 2-days of the event and was completed wow(d) by the designs.  Many of the designs were infact quite good and dint seem like they could be worn by models on the ramp.
The last day of the event in 16Aug15 was one of its kind where 2 things happened, 1 is the person who conceptualized the event #RameshDembla show-cased his collection.  And 2nd was the performance by #AkshayKumar.
There were 4 other designers who show-cased their collection.  Let me share more insights into their collection.
#SumitDasgupta
Connoisseur of ethnic fashion and surely an upcoming designer.  Models wore various types of Sherwanis.  The designs were pretty unique and to end it all up he also had a lady walk up the ramp in Red Ethnic Saree.

 

 

 

#AasifMerchant
Well known designer from India who show-cased some of the modern outfits.  They were trending and surely attractive for a young dashing Indian office goer.  Some of the collection also seemed apt for a party.

 

 

#VaroinMarwah
Designer from Dubai showcasing all suit-collection.  And, this designer sure did seem to be more special coz he had #RajkummarRao as the show-stopper.  They also had a small gal walk up the ramp with Indian Flag.  This was to be able to mobilize charity for the underprivileged kids.

 

 

#KenFerns
Beachwear collection for guys.  The hunky models walked up the rank with those small school bags.  Gals sure did go berserk looking at them and were shouting out loud.  The models looked quite cool and were more than happy to show-off their body.

 

 

#RameshDembla
This was the finale act.  And I must say he was the best among any other designer collections I saw on the 2nd day of the event or on the finale day.  Also to know that he conceptualized the event, its more heartening.

The designs showcased were Kurtas and Suits.  They can be worn by regular folks for party to stand out from the crowd.  Combination of colors included brown and black. And just after this was #AkshayKumar performance.

It was unique experience where Akki, just lying on the floor and suddenly he got and then started singing the song from his movie ‘Special 26’.  Song was ‘Mujhe Tu’.  Infact, he was so sporting to also get up and close with crowd.  One of the instance he stood on 2 chairs facing the crowd.  Glad to also hear him say that it was the best crowd he had seen in life.  We all sitting in audience were simply thrilled, wowed and what not.

 

 

 
Just that soon after the show it was hard to get him to click a self with.  The closest I could get, did not help me get pics.  There sure were fans wanted to come and say high but Akki left soon after the show after meeting press.

 

 

 

 

There was also the performance by ‘Illuminati‘ group from Mumbai.  It was a performance where dancers had some way to reflect light.  And it was simply awesome.  It was surprise package and surely people enjoyed it.

 

 

 

 

To end it all up there was also the #AfterParty which was at the terrace.  There were loads of folks dancing to enjoy until wee hours.  I stay back until 2am or so and it was real fun.  #RajkumarRao also was also there enjoying with fans and by himself as well.

 

 

 

Overall it was a great event and surely a good encouragement for male designers and models alike.  Hopefully we get to see many more such events in Bangalore and across the country.
