Owners & promoter of Drava now want to step-up their game and make it also a popular destination for food lovers. They roped in the Best Chef who specializes in North Indian, Tandoor, Pan-Asian & Italian cuisines.IMG_20200112_183021

Visited the place recently along with a select group of influencers to try out the cocktails and food.

Cocktails

Pornstar Martini

Dravita

Bum Chika Woo Woo

Flaming Tower

All the cocktails were Vodka based and very good taste. The ingredients used in making the cocktails are mostly made inhouse that gives it a special Drava Touch. The best drink among the lot is the ‘Flaming Tower’ that a perfect party drink. The bartender had setup with inverted wineglasses in such a way that alcohol poured from top flow down. But while the alcohol is flowing, it’s also light with fire, it sparkles, making it very dramatic.

Food

Executive Chef at Drava has mastered multiple dishes across different cuisine.  There now is a separate menu that contains a list of all special dishes.

Soup

Tom Yum (Veg & Non-Veg), Maanchow (NonVeg), Lemon Coriander Soup

All the soup was quite amazing and had very good taste. If I were to pick a favorite, it would be the Lemon Coriander soup.  It’s slightly thick and flavor of coriander & tanginess was lemon was very evident.

Starters

Vegetarian – Veg Platter (Paneer, Mushroom, Broccoli, Aloo, Baby-corn), Basil Thyme Paneer Tikka, Veg Momos

Non-Veg – Chicken Momos, Lulu Prawns, Chicken Ghee Roast, Thai Chilli Wings

The place has very good options for starters that taste good. Depending on the customer’s comfort, they can increase/decrease spicy. Among the dishes, I loved the Momos as it a good amount of filling of veggies and tasted very good. It was presented very well with good garnish to give it a little Indian touch.

The second favorite would be the Basil Thyme based dish that had soft Paneer pieces and tasty spices added on top.  The dish was served with tasty mint chutney and salad.

Main Course

Pizza – Garden Fresh Pizza (V), Chilli Murg Pizza

Kolhapuri Veg Curry, Chicken Labadar, Indian Bread

The pizza was quite amazing as it had a lot of Veg toppings and cheese tasted good.  Instead of going to a contemporary pizza place, Drava would be perfect as one can savor good drinks with homemade pizza.

A special note on the Veg Kolhapuri that was spicy and very much like a contemporary restaurant.

Dessert

Chocolate Brownie with Ice-cream

A must-have dessert when you visit the Drava. It’s special because the brownies are made inhouse.

Final Thoughts

It was one of the Best Sunday afternoons spent at the Drava, enjoyed some good food, drinks & wonderful hospitality.  There were many dishes that are now my personal favorite.  I will visit the Drava more often in the future to try the dishes.  I especially recommend this place for everyone across the city to visit and try out the food along with drinks.
