Renaissance Hotel, part of Marriott International has just opened on Race Course Road, Bengaluru.  This is the brands first hotel in South Indian and fourth in India.  Being located at stone throw distance from the Bangalore Turf Club, the hotel has its interiors rightly themed on horses.

One can see plenty of sculptures of horse made of wood, brass and other metals.  They also have posters of and paintings of horses at various places.  I also noticed couple of photo-frames with pictures of horses and info regarding the breeds, which would interest the horse lovers.

The hotel also showcases various aspects of the rich culture of Karnataka.  Famous Channapatna toys that are hand-made from wood and natural colors, at banquet halls and many other places inside the hotel.

Accommodation

There are nearly 276 rooms of different categories – Deluxe, Premium, The Ren Suites, Pavilion Suites, Pavilion Suite with Terrace & Pavilion Suite with Balcony.  Every room has been setup very well allowing the guests enjoy the stay and the experience.  The most sort after room would be the ones facing the Race Course.  These rooms allow the guests to get a complete view of the race-course, check out the horses galloping during the racing season and also during the off-seasons.  The Pavilion Suites come with bath-tub, perfectly suited for guests who travel for leisure, which probably suits the celebrities.

Banquet & Meeting Rooms

The hotel has the signature R.E.N Meeting Program that has highly advanced state-of-the-art audio-visual technology and hi-speed Wi-Fi.  They also have specialists to help guests for official and personal events.

Dining Option

There are plenty of options for guests, perfectly suiting the mood including – Coffee Shop, All-Day Dining Restaurant, Classic Bar and A Rooftop Bar by the pool.  Each one of the places have been carefully designed giving them a grandeur experience.

Cinnamon

This coffee shop located at the lobby level that serve some amazing fresh breads, pastries, chocolates and cakes.  It’s perfectly suited for anyone who wants to grab a quick bite on the go.

Pool Bar

Undoubtedly the best place in the hotel as one can get to enjoy the fresh Bangalore alongside a pool.  The bar-counter looks perfectly setup for hosting a party or hanging out with friends.  Pool is located on an adjacent building of the hotel and one needs to cross a small bridge to reach there.  Guests can enjoy a nice swim, take sun-bath while enjoying some nice cocktail at the same time.

R-Bar

One of the classic-bar with a contemporary twist.  The seating arrangement enable people to gather or huddle up and socialize.  While I visited the bar, the mixologist made a special mocktail with curry leaves & few other juices that was very refreshing.  This was probably done as part of bar-rituals that are done for the guests at the hotel.

Lush

Signature all-day dining restaurant which offers both Indian and International cuisine.  The seating arrangement are quite cosy, and guests can choose to sit outside, while enjoying some fresh air.  Copper bottom vessels are used for decorating and serving the food.  I specially noticed that the restaurant has plenty of vegetarian options for guests.  Dessert section has plenty of variety that will make anyone with sweet-tooth very happy.

Final Thoughts

It was exhilarating experience being in the hotel and walking across the completely property.  I was amazed looking at the inch-perfect detailing of every aspect inside the hotel.  The food and beverages department have done a great job to come up with some amazing dishes & drinks.  Its hard for me to describe all that I experience in few words.  I highly recommend everyone to visit the property, stay in their rooms, enjoy the dining experience and host any event.
