TTK Prestige is one of India’s leading Kitchen Appliance brand that has been around for nearly 60 years. We Indians, have used at least one of the TTK Prestige products in our lifetime.  The most common ones include Pressure cooker, Gas Stove, Mixer Grinder and Cooper bottom vessels.  And in the recent time, Induction cooker is one of the most popular and widely used product.  The company brought out two new products into the market – Domestic Electric Mop and Water Purifier.  These products were announced by Prestige Clean Home division, which is one of the R&D wing of TTK Prestige.  The products were unveiled to Bangalore media on 7^th December 2017 at Welcome Hotel.

About the products

Hero Electric Mop

This product was conceptualized by Chairman, Jagannathan, which can do that job of Sweep, Scrub and Mop simultaneously.  Initially when I came to know about the product, it was hard to believe.  Traditionally, the tasks performed by the Electric Mop is supposed to done separately.  But when I saw the actual functionality, I was quite amazed.  It is a trendy looking product doing the dirty job.

• The product can various parts including the cleaning arm, water sprayer, dust holder and system that sucks the dirt.
• It can be used to clean dirt out of any hard surprise by just swiftly moving across.  The common dust that accumulate on a day to day basis at our home.
• The product can be used to clean very dirty floor by using the sprayer, which can spray some water along with soap.   Electric mop now does the job of a mopping along with sweeping.
• One of the most amazing features is the ability to absorb liquids like – water or milk that keeps falling.  Instead of having to use a cloth, the Hero Electric Mop can take it in easily.
• Electric mop has a small container which is close to the cleaning section in contact with the floor.  The dust collected is put inside this container which can be easily poured on to dustbin.

This simple product is quite effective cleaning solution at home.  Instead of having to bend and clean, the action can be done standing and walking across the home.  I felt that the product price is nearly 10-20% more, but with the features being offered, currently it does seem worth.

Tattva Water Purifier

The presentation generation has become very conscious about water being consumed.  With the variety of contaminations, purifier has become a must.  ‘Tattva’ water purifier is one of the latest addition by TTK Prestige.

• The product uses Fibrillated Absorbent Cellulose Technology (FACT) which removes nearly 99.9% bacteria, viruses and cysts.  It uses a 3-stage filtration with chemical-free log 6:4:3 purification technology.
• It can purify up to 9-litres of water every hour.  Every filter can be used to clean nearly 1500 litres of water.
• The purifier is available in multiple configuration which is quite unique in the water-purifier segment.  Container for purified water comes with either – Earthen pot, Stainless Steel, Brass, Combination of Stainless Steel & Copper, Copper.
• Using copper vessel for storing water stops bacterial growth, enhances digestion and boosts immunity.
• Filter used can either be ordered or they are available in the Prestige outlet, making it very convenient unlike other brands.

The price of these products is very reasonable for Indian market.  If you looking to buy a water purifier, I think this should be the top pick.

About Prestige Clean Home

Prestige Clean Home is one of the new line of business started by TTK Prestige since last year.  Their focus is to provide Kitchen Solutions to the home cleaning space.  The main purpose of this division would be to transform the way India clean and will emerge as the go-to and preferred cleaning partner for Indian home.

The division has already launched more than 50 products in span of a year.  Some of their products include – Electric Mops, Vacuum Cleaner, Floor Polishers, Steam Cleaners and Air Purifiers.  TTK Prestige expects this department to contribute 8-10% of the top-line of TTK Prestige, over the next 3 years.

Overall Experience

It was a great experience to be part of the event when the latest TTK Prestige products were unveiled.  I also got an opportunity to use the Electric Mop and experience its ease of use.  It was also great interacting with Mr. Gaurav Khanna, GDM – Cleaning Solution, who also showed us the live-demo.  The afternoon was made more special by a great lunch at the Welcome hotel.

I specially recommend this product for our Indian Household use.  If anyone is in doubt, the TTK Prestige is also ready to come to home and give a live demo.  Hopefully the Electric Broom will replace the traditional brooms in our home and Tattva Water Purifier will replace the traditional water filters.  I am looking forward to more products being launched by TTK Prestige Clean Home.
